This year I am going through a daily devotional called The Love Dare Day by Day: A Year of Devotions for Couples.
On day 2 there was a challenge to go deeper:
Read 1 Corinthians 13. After you have read it, read verses 4-7 again. This time, replace the words “love” or “it” with your first name. Then close in prayer and ask God to help make this a reality in your life.
For me it looks like this:
4 Adam is patient and kind. Adam is not jealous or boastful or proud 5 or rude. Adam does not demand his own way. Adam is not irritable, and Adam keeps no record of being wronged. 6 Adam does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 7 Adam never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
Wow! I’m praying that God will help me make this a reality in my life.
